Longmont Humane Society is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of animals. We provide temporary shelter to thousands of animals every year: dogs, cats, small mammals, and birds who are lost, abandoned, or surrendered. Loving attention, nutritious food, meticulous health care and daily exercise are standard parts of the high-quality care provided to each animal.

How long have you been in business?
Longmont Humane Society has been in existence for over 35 years.
What is your primary product or service?
We work with the community in Boulder County to provide shelter for homeless or lost animals. We provide adoption services for cats, dogs and other small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, ferrets, and much more). We also work with the local communities to help recover lost pets and return them to their owners.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have just moved into a larger more adequate facility that allows us to keep more animals in a healthier and safer environment. We have always been a place where the community feels confident in ability to take good care of the animals in our shelter and provide good customer service to our community.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one great location in Longmont.

Longmont Humane Society is located at the intersection of Hover and Nelson, just East of the Boulder County Fairgrounds.

All of Boulder County, but especially northern Boulder County including the towns of Longmont, Mead, Erie, Dacono, Lyons and Berthoud.

Open 7 days a week 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Closed Wednesdays from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Adoption and Viewing 11:00 am to 5:30 pm daily
1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesdays
